Today we’re thankful for the freedoms we’ve been given and for the men and women who have sacrificed to protect them.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the blessing of living in this nation. We ask You to heal what is broken, unite what is divided, and turn hearts back to You. Give wisdom to our leaders, protection to those who serve, and peace to every community. May America be a nation that pursues truth, justice, compassion, and righteousness. Let Your Church shine brightly with the hope of Jesus, and may revival begin in us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” — Psalm 33:12

The Bible tells us that God uses the foolish things to confound the wise. It’s amazing how the Holy Spirit can use the simplicity of an illustration in a children’s book to bring inspiration for a message to His people!

Today we celebrate God’s presence among us in such a special way during worship, people stepping into new serving roles, a full house, new faces, DPC Kids being poured into, encounters with the Lord in the altar, and most importantly TWO people getting back on TRACK in committing their lives to Jesus!

Rejoicing! 🙌

This week we’ve been preparing for YOU! We can’t wait to see how the Lord will speak to hearts and touch lives. See you at 10:30 AM!

Happy Father’s Day from DPC!

Pastor Tommy dove into an Old Testament account this morning to highlight how the blessing of the Father isn’t just Manasseh—forgetting the pain. It’s Ephraim—becoming fruitful in the middle of it. Through Jesus, God takes our broken places and turns them into places of fruitfulness. That’s the blessing of the Father!

Juneteenth reminds us that God is a liberator. From Egypt to Calvary, Scripture reveals a God who hears the cries of the oppressed and moves to set them free (Exodus 3:7-8).

We are believing for God to touch every heart and life as He is exalted and His Word declared! Come expectant. God has something special for YOU! 🙌

Sunday May 24th is Pentecost Sunday!

Pentecost was not just an event, it was the beginning of a Spirit-empowered Church.

The same Spirit who filled the Upper Room is still moving today—bringing salvation, healing, freedom, and transformation.

We are believing that all will experience the power, person, and presence of the Holy Spirit as we gather together.

Community churches are coming together in Burgaw and you’re invited!

Grab a lawn chair and bring a friend to the courthouse square THIS week for a time of worship, preaching, and fellowship. Services begin at 6:30 PM.

There will be different musical guests nightly.

Speakers for the week are:
- Reverend Becky Purcell of Burgaw Presbyterian Church (Weds. 5/13)
- Dr. Geraldine Dereef of Macedonia A.M.E. (Thurs. 5/14)
- Reverend Tommy Vincek of Dwelling Place Church (Fri. 5/15)

This event is put on by Kingdom United.

Kingdom United is a collaboration of churches from Pender County coming together to promote Jesus Christ to the community and bring together all people for that purpose.

We look forward to honoring and celebrating mothers tomorrow at DPC! Join us at 10:30 AM! 🌸💖

One question we hear is what should I wear to church? Dresses and suit jackets or jeans and t shirts. You can come casual or you can come decked out. Just COME! There’s room for everyone in the house of the Lord.

Tonight at 6:30 PM! Ladies meet us at DPC for some fiesta foods, fun, and a faith filled message by Elder Angel Barrett!

It sure is, especially on Wednesdays!

The conversations and connection we have are strengthening our walks with the Lord!

If you need a midweek lift come right on down to DPC! At 7:00 PM we kick off worship and then we will go right into our Bible Study groups.

Easter reminds us: the resurrection isn’t just something Jesus did—it’s something He’s still doing.

Paul wrote, “that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection”—not from comfort, but from a prison cell.

This kind of faith says:
➡️ I don’t just want to know about Jesus—I want to truly know Him.
➡️ I don’t just celebrate resurrection—I want that power working in my life right now.
➡️ Even in suffering, God is shaping something deeper in me.

Resurrection power means:
✨ Shame doesn’t have the final say
✨ Old patterns don’t have to define you
✨ You are not stuck—God is still working

You may feel like you’re in a hard place… but so was Paul. And he still said, “I press on.”

You’re not behind. You’re not finished. You’re in process.

The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is available to you—today.
